I definitely play a lot of video games (mostly Nintendo games as well as some mystery/puzzle-solving games like Ace Attorney, Dangan Ronpa and Professor Layton and some RPGs including Tales of and Persona), and I'm currently keeping up with X-Men '97 while working my way through Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and also (very slowly) the One Piece anime.
Crime: He has been accused of matricide, specifically the murder of his biological mother Mystique. Something he was actually trying to prevent in canon!
Background: Kurt is from X-Men Evolution, an X-Men show from the early 00's which is not to be confused with the 90s series that currently has a revival. Unlike other versions of Nighcrawler, this one is depicted joining the X-Men as a teen. He hails from Germany and has lived with adversity all of his life due to his mutation making him look like a fuzzy blue devil. Ever since he moved to America and joined the X-Men, he receieved a special image inducer that uses hologram techology to look like an Ordinary Teen. He's generally a fun-loving class clown with a love for bad jokes and slinging around cringey slang to fit in, while still being anxious about wanting to avoid the backlash that his real from can get.
Abilities: Kurt's very acrobatic, can cling to walls/ceilings, knows some hand-to-hand combat and has a prehensile tail. His big power though is the of teleportation, with a range that has an upper limit of two miles. He can teleport with others, and he leaves behind clouds of smoke that smell of brimstone as he teleports. (When he teleports, he's actually moving through some Hell-like pocket dimension at speeds too high for anyone to realize that's happening!)
Plans: So right now I'm settling Kurt into the game and looking to gather all kinds of CR, from fellow teens to adult figures! Anyone's welcome, with or without superpowers or mutant-like situations. There's a lot of character stuff I'd like to explore with Kurt, like the angst of being a mutant, his family issues (especially given the crime he's been assigned) and him coming close to being open about himself. In canon, he eventually went public as a mutant, but with his image inducer on, so the public doesn't know he's specifically the blue fuzzy mutant. So he's doing a bit of a secret identity thing, but we'll see how long that lasts. Also, while I headcanon he's probably had some fencing lessons at the mansion, I do want to explore him learning more about swordfighting so he can eventually swashbuckle like his comic self! I'm not sure yet if I'm throwing him into this month's event, but generally I'm open to starting all sorts of CR and building up new ones!
How can you run into my character? Well Kurt's new to the setting so he's going to spend a lot of time checking out the city and familiarizing himself with the place, though it should be noted that he'll usually have his human disguise on when in public. The Game Parade sounds like one place he'll be frequenting! He's also going to be living in Scott's house, so visitors may find him there (and more likely to be in his normal form to boot!)
