SENTENCING
With this month, we’re beginning the automatic pools of Sentencing again! This time we have these characters eligible for it:
- Morph (vandalism)
- Quentin (vandalism)
- Root (murder)
- Bondrewd (unethical experimentation)

We will be opening sign-ups for six more characters down at the bottom of the page. You have until Friday 12/6 to sign up! If we get more than seven people signing up the mod team will use rng to choose who gets a slot. Please have the name of your character’s crime listed somewhere visible!


APPLICATIONS
We will be holding an app cycle as usual this month! Reserves will open on the 21st and then apps will open on the 24th! We are currently at 59/70 players!

HIATUS TWEAKS (IC)
As we've had a few questions about it in the past couple months, we're making an adjustment to what happens to a character when a player posts a hiatus. Characters will either be subject to disappear into the void or be on autopilot for the duration of a hiatus! Obviously, players can still tag around and everything, but for those who want to take a step back from rp games completely while they hiatus, we're clarifying the options for you!

THIS MONTH IN ALDRIP

The city’s still a little beat up and dirty from last month’s event. There’s a couple of NPCs that may have been saved during the event that might be looking like they’re doing something… but it’s not much. Looks like this time, they’re going to be leaving a good bit of the cleanup to the Chosen. There’s still blood in some places (from Chosen??? Monsters?? Who knows!), and the destruction from monsters and Shadows is still around. But hey, at least the monsters are gone!

It’ll look like that for a couple days, and then suddenly? They’ll wake up to snow dumped all over the city. Do you hear a Christmas / Winter song you might know from home? It could be playing! But… it definitely sounds like it’s skipping a bit. Almost like it’s on a messed up record player. It’s also repeating a lot of the chorus. Weird.

The decorations this year are a little messed up, too. Are those… skeletal Santas? Christmas trees on fire? Not all decorations are messed up, but if characters are looking for some, they might stumble across some stuff that’s not quite right.

The crack in the world, whatever it really might have been, seems to have disappeared entirely. For anyone who dropped a small object into the crack: they no longer have access to that object, or any communication with it. Please let us know in the comments if you dropped something into the crack!

While everything seems to have gone back to normal, the atmosphere feels somehow...a little different. Tense, as if something is about to happen, something that could be more than a strange little crack...

But it's all good. We're fine! Happy holidays!

A LOVE NOTE / FEEDBACK?

We're almost through 2024, guys! We're heading into the second year anniversary of Expiation, which is so much more than any of us could've asked for. We're so close, we got this!
