Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for the feedback you’ve given us in a relatively short time on our post. You all are more than welcome to keep commenting, of course. We might not have time to respond to every response, but know we’re definitely reading them all and taking them into consideration. There are things we’re even implementing this month, but some others will take a bit more time.


That being said, while the mod team is going over these changes and general burnout from, well… everyone, AC will be CHECK-IN this month. While we go back to the drawing board and to help alleviate some burnout with the playerbase, we decided that it would be the best way to go.


SENTENCING


First of all, we would like to know who was involved in the fire, be it helping putting it down or spreading it further, or who carried out their other crimes for the event! Other than that, we will be opening sign-ups for Sentencing, but they will be fewer than normal as we may be going back to the drawing board on that as well. We will be accepting 3-4 sign-ups, and the rest will be those that committed crimes during the event.


AI PIECES


There are now two unclaimed pieces of the AI. One that belonged to Quentin, and one that belonged to Octavian. We will be holding RNG signups for who will be getting the next mission from it, unless they are claimed by CR or other such circumstances. They will be given a week to sign up or claim them before we choose a piece to start initiating threads with.


QUEST BOARD


With the addition of the quest board, we will have a TL on the PWM posts to suggest quests. It could be either character-led or NPC led, but we would love to hear if you guys have any ideas for the queue! PC quests would be given more priority for next month’s cycle instead of NPC quests.

THIS MONTH IN ALDRIP

MAP UPDATE

Remember the "outsiders from overseas" that the snake people of Rumpitur were gossiping about during the Chosen's latest visit? Well, as it turns out, they're here! Hailing from Briorsea, the visitors arrive at Aldrip early into the month on a kind of ship that blows the ones locals use out of the water, pardon the pun. Their nation tends to keep to themselves most of the time, but after hearing rumors of the development of Aldrip, as well as the otherworldly travelers who dwell there, the curiosity has compelled them to organize the expedition and see what all the fuss is about. The Chosen will quickly find that they're an inquisitive bunch, wandering around and openly asking questions about their circumstances and the worlds they come from. But while they're eager to get to know them and even work with them, they seem almost a little… disappointed with the current state of Aldrip? Perhaps they imagined that the newcomers would've ushered in a new era of prosperity and technological advancement. Not to worry, though, they still believe in the potential! So much so, they're even willing to give the people here a helping hand.


The visitors have taken keen interest in many things in Aldrip, but one thing in particular that caught their attention is the bulletin board near the farm, put up by Kurama (sinningtree). It's certainly useful, but the way it is now, it seems a bit underdeveloped! So they offered to help turn it into something that would allow more people to use it - by installing a screen display and integrating it with the Aldrip's network, and now the Chosen will be able to browse the current requests and make new ones with a flick of their fingers! Wow! The future is here!


While at it, the guests have decided to do a test run by making several requests of their own. In addition to monetary rewards, some of the requests come with additional rewards! Care to help them out?

ENVIRONMENT


Oof, the weather sure is turning hot. Summer thunderstorms are pretty common nowadays, as well as the occasional bad weather. Watch out for things getting blown off of buildings, especially the ones that have damage on them. Tornadoes may even pop up here and there with the skies churning like they are.


Because the skies are churning at times and the warmer weather, characters may see tentacles popping up on the beach for a certain kraken to sun itself. It’s not harmful, nor will it attack characters unless provoked. This one’s a nice sea monster. It may even lift some characters into the air for a good cannonball position into the ocean, but be careful where you land. Make sure the waters are deep enough! If there are characters who can’t swim or might get pulled out by rip-tides, it’ll help them back to shore too. It takes fish as tips, thank you very much.


On the flipside, there are not so nice monsters on the shoreline this time of year. The threshadons are lurking in the water, kind of a counter to the kraken that’s just chilling out on the beach. If characters get caught with them in their sights, they might need to make a quick getaway or risk getting pulled under the water.


Maybe krakens are good, this time around…


Duskpetals may be seen at night in the fields outside of Aldrip. Since every night is a full moon, and summer is here… the plants have decided that it’s a good time to stretch their petals and bask in the light. What a good place to take a date, eh?


FORMER NAGA


The former Naga have come back to Viktor’s compound after the disappearance of the garden and the snakes that’re gone with it. If they’re asked about the phenomenon, they look a little spooked and try not to answer… well. Vega will say that they’re nightmare creatures from a different realm come to enslave them all. How true that is remains to be seen though, but the consensus between the three of them is that they were definitely Bad News and there were bad memories associated with them. Maybe even as if they remember it happening to them…


ALDRIP NATIVES


With it becoming summer, the NPC-owned businesses are definitely starting to show out their summer gear! Beach umbrellas, bathing suits, etc, anything that could be related to summer is now eligible to be bought! Also lemonade in various flavors have started popping up in pretty much every shop and restaurant in Aldrip. There’s even one store that has a sign on the outside “when life gives you lemons, squeeze them into life’s eyes!”


Whatever that means.
