Plotting to take down THE CREATURE

(Follow-up from previous event and also recent State of the Game.)

Hello all! I hope you've all had a pleasant holiday period. I'm gathering volunteers to help with William's plan to take down the monster that's been threatening Rumpitur. So far there's been a few IC offers to help but in light of the recent SOTG it may be good to coordinate general efforts.

Please let me know if you've changed your mind about the above - and if anyone else would like to offer their support then that is welcome too! William will be very open about his taking the lead in the fighting to set an example. He'll also be screening to make sure no-one joins the fight that would actively try to harm others through doing so.

(That said, if anyone would ICly sabotage his efforts in some other way they're welcome to get in touch so we can discuss things.)

Hi I just got here but I am in! Toph will ICly throw herself into fights and be a little terror regardless of whether any coordination happens, but OOCly we can certainly figure out where she works best! She does not like being in/on the ocean but she can stand on the shore and launch glowy rocks at the thing ad infinitum. She is not at all intimidated by the size/scale.

Sounds excellent! All good parties need long-range support, haha. Standing at the rear and hurling boulders and such at the enemy sounds like a good fit, and even if the front line breaks she's very versatile.

Ragna would be eager to participate in taking down the monster because he just wants to kill something and that thing seems like a fair target. Definitely not to help anyone, that's just silly. Also, there is no "I" in "team", so expect him to do his own thing without caring about anyone's strategy or shit like that LOL

Would he bother saying as much to William? I'm planning to put up a joint post between William and Erichthonios with their results on researching the taint/octopus minions soon just to share info ICly around so that's probably when he'd officially coordinate everyone's efforts.

Shinjiro would be totally down for revenge and round two of fucking up this monster's day....! He's is a melee fighter and decent enough tank. Can also summon one of those cool Persona brain-monsters for added damage, though it hurts him to do because lmao JRPG costs.

A second tank!! Wonderful, William can do small buffs for people in his party so hopefully Shinjiro doesn't get too hurt...........

Now that Yu has his Personas back, he's very interested in being part of the fight. He might object to killing the creature ultimately, depending on how things go, but... he's in!!

I think William would be willing to try and go for a capture initially to respect that wish but he's definitely going to go for a kill if it looks like the creature can't be subdued easily. Would Yu be alright with that condition?

point yuja in a direction and she will do whatever is needed of her. that is to say she'll prob be helping eli and erich with rock but will also be happy to fight a monster

They might very well need some kind of cage built since Yu wants to try and capture the creature so maybe she can help Elidibus and Erich with that before the fight?

Ryoji would want to help if it means making the place safer for others, despite, well himself being who he is (Massive spoilers for Persona 3). He's probably let others attack and provide backup as needed.

It seems like we'll need more buffers/healers to support this growing fight group but William will definitely appreciate help on the crowd control side if things overwhelm others!

kotone is another summon fighter like yu!! her personas are primarily Big Damage, but she can heal in a pinch. she just wants the monster Taken Care Of, whether that's captured or killed, doesn't matter overmuch to her

Bakugou would absolutely join in on this, time to get his heroics on!!

He offers literal explosions of varying degrees size wise, and a very tactical brain. I'm working from home so can't elaborate a whole bunch but I wanted to get his name out there at least!!

That's fine, I'm canon familiar with Bakuogou haha. He can probably help manage aerial-related combat and call out stuff from the air if that works for you! Dazai is in charge of the larger strategy, William is focused on the ground.

hello, if it's not too late i would like to volunteer kotetsu for fighting the monster!

he has a super-suit that's fireproof and grapple-wires that are very difficult to cut, as well as superpowers that expand his strength/speed/senses 100fold for a minute every hour.

Not too late, no! Kotetsu will be very welcome. It will be quite funny to have at least two people speeding around the battle (since William can accelerate himself briefly in a different way, hah).

Dara won't be fighting, but she'll be focused on how well her barrier around the Rump farms holds up against the blight. So it could be used as a safe place for people to go and get healed up without the risk of corruption spreading.

Noted! William and Erich had thoughts of making one using the glowing stones too once they realised it could hold back the rot.

not volunteering for fights exactly, but if they need help in evacuating or rescuing any casualties beforehand vash will be there!

Izuku would absolutely participate! He's a skilled midrange fighter and strategist/analyst, especially with making on-the-fly strategy adjustments in the field and coordinating diverse powers. He's got rescue and evacuation training too, and a swiss army knife of a superpower (super-strength style physical enhancement, energy whips, a smokescreen, a danger sense, floating, and a few different ways to give himself big temporary boosts of speed) so he's pretty versatile - and as long as he's actively helping keep people safe, and not relegated to sitting on the sidelines, he'll be happy with pretty much any role.

I'll note that Bakugou and Izuku will likely pass information between them to keep William/Dazai updated on the state of the battle as it goes on, considering the pair work closely together in canon. Both Bakugou and Izuku can fight equally well in the air and on the ground so that seems like a good role for them I think?

slides in here hella late but Caitlyn would absolutely help in the attack! She's an excellent marksman so she'll gladly participate in any monster fighting.
