You see an item nearby. Whatever this item is, you don't really recognize it. Still, you feel as though it's important. You pick it up, and memories flood into your mind.
But they aren't yours.
You shouldn’t be here, you know this for a fact. Everyone you cared about is gone, and yet, you’re trapped without a light at the end of the tunnel. There’s nothing you can do, not really, other than sit and wait until one more favor is asked, another group is settled, another, another, another… It must be some measure of irony, you think, being tried for a crime and then being forced to help your captor in the aftermath. You shouldn’t be here; you shouldn’t even exist. And yet these poor souls–you feel for them, being trapped by the same fate you first met–need your help.
Can you ever be free, you wonder? And yet, you’re stuck as you once were. With a resigned sigh, you rip a hole in the code of the world and bring them to the desert. Just like you were supposed to do.

The memory comes to an abrupt end there.
