Hello all!!

Richard just posted A Call For Action on network, hoping to organize The Chosen a bit in form of Group Training. So basically a boot(y) camp! The idea would be to have characters with any combat or otherwise fighting experience to pass down their knowledge and teach less battle-oriented characters!

How would this go down in practice? Well, basically I'll be putting up a Mingle Log in the beginning of September so that we can get newbies involved with a top level for each activity (swords, guns, magic, first aid, etc). The purpose of this OOC post is to gather interest and small/unofficial sign up for characters that would be up for teaching.

Spiritual training/magic: Kurama, Douman, Kakashi
First-aid: Ethlyn, Morph, Bones
Rescue training: Morph, Bones
Hand-to-hand combat: Jirk, Kakashi
Tech support: Jirk
Lunch: Junpei
Fire arms: Caitlyn, Levi
Swords & Melee: Richard, Hiei
Archery: Richard
Survival skills: Richard, Kurama
Military training: Jirk, Miller, Richard
Endurance training: Bones


 

The mingle log will go up on 9th of September so there's still plenty of time for plotting! The log itself will follow a structure where I post a very generic TL for each activity, listing who is responsible teaching there etc. Characters then can post their own TLS all across the mingle (open or closed), they can be under the activities or just general OTAs. o/

Putting Morph down for teaching rescue training! This is going to be everything from how to get a cat out of a tree, to how to lift an injured person, how to pull someone out of a window without causing damage, the safest ways to carry someone who's unconscious, etc.

Yes, Morph will be dramatically playing the victim in every scenario (even the cat) unless someone else volunteers.

EDIT: Morph can also teach CPR, but their first-aid knowledge is extremely basic otherwise.

kakashi would be down for melee (swords and fists) and potentially magic, he is well-versed in cooperative magic (ie you cast a fire spell, i cast a wind spell that magnifies the fire spell) so he could maybe teach people about that.

Jim's happy to bounce between tech support, survival skills, and hand-to-hand combat. Could also offer tactical strategy lessons if that's of interest; whatever's needed, he has Starfleet Academy training and might as well put it to use!

Ethlyn will take over happily assist people to join the Arztenritter learn first aid! She'll appreciate the chance to teach y'all how to splint, recognize shock, and when / when NOT to use a tourniquet!

Kurama will be ensuring the yyh cast contributes, so signing everyone up. Whether they like it or not. He can kind of do everything listed and is hoping to use this to help expand on the spiritual awareness honing, sorry Richard.

I will absolutely think of more eventually, but assume this will be an ongoing venture.

Hiei will be very chagrined but he is good for swords & melee, hand to hand, and survival skills

Signing up Bones as a first-aid teacher, joining with Morph for rescue training (if needed/wanted!), and endurance training. Time to get butts moving 😌
