Welcome to Expiation's CR meme! This is a post where players can plot with each other on the direction they'd like to go for the month, and so on and so forth. There's a form below for you to fill out below, so get plotting!

We're now inclding an EMP element since it's an app month! We have an APP THIS PLEASE and ENABLE ME PLEASE in the comments below with a form, so if you're interested in participating, use the form and comment under the subject title applicable. Other than that, the regular comments will go as a normal CR meme would! Also, the TDM will be posted in the log comm with old and new characters alike able to top-level on it.

APRIL TDM/MINGLE

TEST DRIVE/MINGLE: WE'RE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE

New characters on this TDM wake up in Rumpitur? It’s a smallish fishing and agricultural town, laid back but well taken care of. The people there are humanoid snakes, and while snakes may be intimidating usually, they’re actually pretty nice. They take these new Chosen happily, at least temporarily. They’ll give them shelter and food for basically free, or even in exchange for little errands around the village.

But beware of those from Aldrip, they say. They’re rude, brutal and they’ll leave anyone high and dry. Newbies may hear other gossip whispered amongst these creatures, which we’ll have a top-level for on what people would let characters hear about them. They may be true, or they may be untrue! Not everything in the rumor mill is bad, though. There’s gossip of an easier way to transport coming to link the two cities soon…

Oh, wait. There’s some of those people from Aldrip now. They were promised more resources for sale and for festivities. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. Nothing to worry about.


LOOK! IT’S… THE EASTER SNAKE?

At least newbies and oldies will be able to participate in their spring festivities. There will be an egg hunt, eggs as snacks and egg-themed snacks, and egg… races?? That’s not strange at all. Watch out for the eggs as snacks though – eating these will give characters an effect. There will be a rng for these effects, if you’d like to take a chance, but you can also bypass that and let choose what you’d like to play out.

The egg hunt is more productive, though. Characters will find items on the inside, both useful to take home to Aldrip for the rebuilding efforts (seeds for planting, etc), and useful personally. We’re pretty flexible to whatever can be found in these eggs, but remember they must be able to fit inside of these eggs.

AH, WELL THAT WAS FUN. NOW SHOO!

All of this will last --about a week before it seems like the people in Rumpitur seem to get a little tired of the Chosen’s existence. Too much partying, too many mouths to feed. They kindly offer to send them back to Aldrip, where the rest of the Chosen reside, and will lowkey even force characters on their wagon back if they have to. After all of those rumors and talking shit about Aldrip and the Chosen, it’s all fine. This is completely fine. Right?

About: HEY HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THEMES OF CRIME, MORAL CHOICES, PENANCE, AND WHAT MAKES PEOPLE PEOPLE? That's a trick question, you're a projmoon fan. Seriously though, in my experience this has been a great game to play a character from this canon in.

About: Onni hails from a post-apocalyptic world where a disease called the Rash has turned most of humanity into terrible body horror monsters, and he is a very powerful mage. Onni is the walking embodiment of a cranky older brother, and a walking contradiction. He is a very brave coward, a very emotional stoic, and he shows his love by criticizing. Onni is known for never leaving his walled city because he's afraid of the Silent World (wilderness filled with monsters) for 13 years and then suddenly disappearing into the Silent World, summoning a whole goddess to protect his cousin and sister from a country away, and crying a lot. His canon has no tech or anything so he'll be completely confused by any talk of simulations.

Crime: stubbornness

Background: Octavian is a ghost, mostly! In life he was a former prodigy become prolific adult in his field (inventing and engineering) alongside his brother Sterling and his bestie Hiram. Due to Creative and Financial Differences, Hiram mcmurdered him, and he was left to hover in a room for 30 years as a manufactured ghost made of runes and spirit magic. Then his nephew and a gang of ne'er-do-wells broke into the house to steal other things and recruited the weird ghost in the process, because why not.

He's been in Aldrip since, like, August? He has a body now but only sometimes. He also has a little robot assistant.

Abilities:
💀 ghost. he Can phase through walls and stuff but he doesn't like doing it because it's not actually his natural ghosty state
💀 temp body, summoned via spell ritual, lasts a number of hours and looks human but is kind of wrong, in a golem pretending to be human way. he's refining it slowly but surely
💀 magic, mostly enchanting things to have different effects

💀 his usual ghost body is tangible in a "gripping a hollow plastic thing" way, he has to focus on it all the time, it's stressful

Plans:
👻 with Root dropping, she has left Octavian her cracked computers and various STEM club dark web communicators... so, STEM....2!!! could be a thing if anyone is interested. Octavian does not know how to utilize that stuff to its fullest potential, but in Root's honor, he will try to put it to good use. fist clench.
👻 Octavian had a Vision of the old AI turning an old group of Chosen(?) into the Rumpiturans many "cycles" ago, so he will be making some noise about that once they come around... what is up with the snakes!
👻 lowkey he wants to defeat death, just as a concept, uhhh if anyone wants to do weird alchemy with him
👻 his lil robot will clank around town and you can interact with it
👻 will he do any eggy festivities.... maybe. it depends.

How can you run into my character? He lives in a weird little hovel, he wrote all over the walls in there instead of getting a notebook... His lab from home is out back, it is a little brick building with a business room and a tinkering lab in the back, as well as a lesser lab that was supposed to be a break room but is now storage. He is there a lot.

He may wander around town with his wee robot, a squat thing with hexgem eyes called Wobbles. Sometimes it independently runs errands for him. He takes pictures of it around town like a proud parent. Sometimes Viktor is also there. They're discreet but they smooch.

On occasion he will just wander into other people's labs/sciencey spaces (Altius, Viktor) if they continue to tolerate him-- And he also loiters around town enjoying Food and Feeling Physical Sensation and The Sun. Maybe less now that the townies are mean.

Crime: Despair

Background: Mad scientist who got recruited into a cult and became an immortal sorcerer with no physical form. Now he lives in the body of a dead samurai and is coping with the fact that he is the reincarnation of another, slightly less mad, scientist who wrote a really bad tweet that destroyed the world.

Nihilistic, sadistic, and extremely flamboyant. He tends to present himself as a clown, but beneath the playfulness, he is in great despair. His main agenda is to die and take everyone else with him. It's what his Emperor would have wanted, anyway.

Abilities: Sorcerer who can sling around Final Fantasy spells (Blizzaga, Firaga, etc). Very talented in shadow magic, especially. He can fly and teleport. Also, he possesses The Echo, which allows his soul to resonate with the souls of others. Mostly, this lets him see their memories as if they were his own and communicate despite language barriers. It used to do a bit more, but that requires a world with aether in it!

Plans: Fandaniel got a message from the AI asking for help. He will be asking if anyone else got a similar message and recruiting other Chosen to join him in hunting down the location in the photo he received. He will have an open post about this!

His robot Hyperetes has the AI backed up to it. Which is probably fine.

• MAD SCIENCE: Do you play a scientist or someone too curious to let morals get in their way? Fandaniel wants to team up to study the simulation.


• VILLAIN CR: Want a villain to torment your hero? I've got the man for you. He is very cruel and manipulative.


• WEIRD FRIENDSHIP: Fandaniel may be a mad sadist, but he is also very old, patient, and nonjudgmental (it is impossible for him to unilaterally hate all living things more than he already does). He could be an uneasy ally for certain character types.


• LABORATORY: While Fandaniel has some rooms of the Aetherochemical Research Facility sealed off for his personal use, the ARF itself is a public space and he'll allow anyone research-minded to drop by. His goal is to devote the ARF to studying the simulation and the AI.

How can you run into my character? Lives at the Aetherochemical Research Facility insofar as he lives anywhere. Since he doesn't need to eat or sleep it's just... the place he spends his time. When he isn't there, he's out around town with his robot Hyperetes.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Fandaniel is usually a playful, whimsical eccentric and as much comedy relief as villain, but this character can get very intense. Themes around him include suicide, despair, existential horror and hopelessness, nihilism, and extreme self-loathing. You can read more about this on his OPT OUT. Please do not hesitate to opt out of interactions if you want to. I understand some of this character's themes are heavier than people might want to deal with in RP.

Dazai hasn't been around for any of the AI stuff prior to this, but he's very interested on getting himself involved with it! He has no combat prowess (outside of being impervious to anything supernatural/magical), but I'd like him to tag along for hunting down that location. Maybe you can even pick his brain about it.

Crime: Attempted Destruction of Human Society

Background: Her canon backstory aside, her Expi background is more interesting. Fauna's accidentally responsible for the wish monster event plot, and she got hospitalized for it. Got her ass beat by the Black Beast. Whoops! She's filled with regret but also anger and determination now.

Abilities: She's a tokusatsu hero! She transforms, fights, does cool kicks and explosions. Her primary abilities while transformed are magic of various elements, but she can switch to a ninja or samurai form for other skillsets.

Plans: Someone's in trouble~! Fauna's getting out of the hospital right around the same time she's getting sentenced. So, uh. It's gonna go bad for her. She's gonna be so mad. But people can help her calm down or find things to do that aren't violence.

She's kind of going a little stir-crazy, because she's starting to feel like she can't influence things for the better. So she could use some pep talks on that front, probably.

How can you run into my character? Once she's out of the hospital, she's mostly just planning on returning to the X-Mansion and training as hard as she can to get stronger. But she still patrols the city most nights when she's able, to try to make sure nothing's going on.

Crime: Aimlessness

Background: Amnesiac with a prosthetic head; became executive manager of a department in a shady company after being saved in the middle of the woods. Nervous disaster of a human that's somehow keeping everything together. They're also kind of a loser (affectionate).

Recently, they had a chunk of their opinion of themself taken from them during the whole wish-monster event. As a result, they have a little extra confidence and aren't as self-conscious about their head, but pushing them about how they think other people see them or on the meaning of responsibility might cause them to blue screen a little. Sure feels empty in here.

Abilities:
⏰ Chunk of a magical Golden Bough in their head with the power of ~connection.~ AKA: allowing them to see others' memories or connect to the psyche.

Plans: I've signed Dante up for sentencing for one! But also looking to explore the aftermath of the wish incident and have them do what they can to help out with securing food for Aldrip.

Will probably head to the egg festival! Less for the festival itself, but more to check out Rumpitur, since they haven't gone there yet. Feel free to drag them into something embarrassing.

Background: It's shoujo adaptation of Shakespeare's Richard III, expect gay. So yeah!! Medieval English King.

Richard has actually been in Expi for a full year this month! Hooray. During that time he has established training grounds at the outskirts, gained ownership of the inn and underground bunker (which he will turn into emergency shelter) and established defense squad!! More info about that very soon.

Abilities: Richard is skilled knight and a war veteran.

Plans: Hello. I was on hiatus during March and it will continue for about week. This doesn't mean that I don't have plans, tho!

- Richard will be offering a free stay at the inn to those whose own housing were destroyed in the explosion
- He'll be doing advertising for the defense squad. Also, for those who are interested in stuff: how would a patrol mingle sound like? Basically, go around damaged Aldrip, help with the clean up and dig up stuff! Maybe on lookout for any unwanted monsters.
- Richard's long-game has been for The Chosen to get organized, which is one reason for defense squad 👀 However, he has also been workshopping an idea for a new Council consisting of The Chosen. My plan is to finally get that idea rolling and have him approach ppl more directly.
- He will be going to Rumpitur! He's interested in bargaining and trading stuff with snakes
- Richard is very infamous not knowing what fun is. So take that as a challenge.
- Sidenote: it's Easter!! Richard is traumatized catholic so you bet he'll be trying to rope people to join him in church.

How can you run into my character?
- He owns the inn! So he will most likely be there more often than not
- He is regular customer at The Last Drop and Lupin.
- He spends some time at the farm, seeing that his horse lives there
- His only healthy hobby seems to be hunting!! So he's a occuring visitor at the woods too!

Anything Else?: I am old LOL. I'm basically online most of the time as I work in a teashop, but whether or not I get to tags is a different story. I'm still fairly new to this game and dreamwidth in general, so please bear with me! I am but a little baby! I'm a big Fate/Type-Moon fan ( especially Fate/Extra). I enjoy tokusatsu, shoujo manga(webtoons), and otome games.

Character: Gilgamesh ( Archer )
Canon: Fate ( / Grand Order )
Canon Point: After Time Temple ( because I'm not up to date but not like Gil shows up anywhere in FGO besides early events LOL ).

Crime: Being "Gorgerous" ( a lie, his sin is pretty obvious LOL )

Background: A hero from Mesopotamian mythology. The first King in human history to become a legend, he proclaims himself “Mankind's Oldest Hero” and “a judge of men with the blood of a god in his veins.” Or so his official profile says. It's hard to know what Gilgamesh thinks, but he generally follows his mood. He's like a storm. One second he's in a good mood and the next he'll point a sword at your back.

He has no interest in what's going on here in Alprid, so his overall mood is being bored.

Abilities: Gilgamesh has a pocket hammerspace filled with his treasures. He only has 25% of his inventory, but that's more than enough. He has vehicles, food, clothes, weapons, jewelry, anything you can think of.

He uses the Gate of Babylon quite often.

Plans:

Make new CR. I've been busy, but I want Gilgamesh to meet new people. I plan on doing a lot of tag-ins. Maybe do a new network post or make Gilgamesh do something silly again. No, I will not make him naked again. That was a one-time deal.

What kind of CR can you expect from Gilgamesh? It really depends on your character. Gilgamesh views himself as an observer of humanity, but he loves humanity ( don't tell him that, he'll smack you ) and wishes for humans to prevail against their trials.

So far, Gilgamesh is getting along with the "protagonists" types. Whether he is aware of it or not, he helps those out who are in limbo, but it's more so that he can't stand people who are unsure of their desires, but he won't tell them the answers.

How can you run into my character?

He's wandering around and chilling. He can appear and disappear wherever he goes.

Canon Point: After his ward takes a blow to protect him

Crime: Child sacrifice

Background: Mid-thirties CEO of an international company whose previous stint as a magical boy went so poorly he pivoted to plans to destroy the world. Very good at pretending he's a pleasant type on the outside. He recently took an orphaned magical boy under his wing to use him against his friends (don't worry about how he was orphaned), which ended up having unpleasant consequences like feelings. Uh oh! More info here!

Abilities: -automatically blocks any supernatural sensing powers: anything outside of the typical human baseline will react like he's not there. Any technology that tries to record him while he's using magic will also fail.

-magically charming aura that tends to make people like him more. This works on local NPCs but obviously it's player choice for other Chosen. If you want to play with that, it's there!

-crystal monster creation. Half a dozen of these toothy little guys are running around town trying to help with sorting through the rubble, but they won't be seen in public with Zek. They stand at about the average person's waist and have one brain cell each but they are trying very hard.

-erasing of nonliving objects. BRAND NEW! He can just delete stuff by putting his hands on it. At first he's going to not do so well in controlling this or, um, having it at all.

Other things that aren't usually relevant except in extreme emergencies or secret, because he is just a normal businessman, really!!: healing magic, superhuman strength/reflexes/speed, temporary portals, hypnosis, breaking/warping.

Plans: Look, a log! Zek is having a bad time after deleting several things around town. That said, he's still gritting his teeth to push past everything and asking people to help him with a ~new garden space thing~ so that uh they can have some more food. He'll pay you, and also you'll have food. Sounds good, right?

He also got a new erasing power he's having a bad time with that makes him think maybe he didn't fully de-monster after all! AND THEN he's getting sentenced! It's fine. Everything's fine. He'll be going to Rumpitur to look into building connections with the natives there, still definitely totally FINE.

How can you run into my character? Altius can be found wherever out on the street around town and he's pretty much always doing something. He spends a fair amount of time at his two (soon to be three) businesses, but he also spends mornings watching the courthouse, and the occasional evening at Lupin or the Inn's tavern. Occasionally he'll hit up the library, and sometimes he'll just be mysteriously unreachable for a few hours. With his tiny house destroyed, he kind of just plans to sleep at his businesses until someone pressures him to something else, oops...

He is always looking for people to work at his two businesses: a medical research company and the post office! He can figure out a place for anybody; part time, full time, contracting, collaborations, whatever. He's also involved with Richard's defense squad in an organizational role, and he'll encourage people to join if they seem remotely interested in helping their fellow Chosen. Check out his city garden planning above also!

Also if he's shown concern for or interest in a character before, he absolutely checks in with them now and again! He does not need a reason to do this, he'll just do it apropos of nothing.

Anything Else?: A 34 year old ladyyyyy (read that in the Jenna Marbles voice) who has a huge soft spot for 90s/00s Toonami shows and still plays from them. In general I’m not a very ‘let’s plot every move’ type of player and I love things developing on their own and on the fly so even if you just want Hiei and your character to meet and go from there I am 100% down to clown. Let’s do it.

Crime: Familial Abandonment

Background: Hiei was born a fire demon to a very insular group of ice maidens on a sky island - conceived by ‘impure means’ and was (literally) bound and thrown from the island. He was found by a group of bandits who never told him murdering all the time wasn’t exactly how you made friends and they eventually abandoned him too. Fast forward a couple years and a painful third eye install later and he meets Kurama by accident in the human world and the rest is history. He and Kurama steal from spirit world, get tracked down by Yusuke Urameshi and they all become a little rag-tag family even if Hiei will never ever call them friends or family since, well… /gestures at past families.

Abilities: As a fire demon Hiei has control over human and spiritual flame, though here in Expi he is restricted from his Dragon of the Darkness Flame. Demonic strength and speed are also a given, and he is a master swordsman to boot. He also has a Jagan eye - also known as ‘evil eye’ that has telepathic abilities as well as remote viewing.

Plans: Hiei spent a lot of last month baby sitting fox form Kurama and keeping him calm and in place, which, woops, was actually a detriment to getting his wish granted but did he pay attention to Fauna's post or ask Kurama his wish? You know the answer.

This month he's going to be napping a lot more and a lot harder than usual, having lost sleep trying to keep Kurama from inflicting chaos in town for most of March. Other than that, I definitely plan to have him stealing from the price gouging sellers (*John Cena music*) because he is fast and he can without being seen. He will likely also pilfer a lot of the Easter egg hunt eggs only to be sorely disappointed when they are seeds and not snacks. Also no chance he isn't stuffing his face with eggs and getting effects so more than willing to play out quite a few scenarios that he wouldn't otherwise be down to.

How can you run into my character? Hiei’s daily life at the moment largely consists of following Kurama around to his many jobs and doing any little tasks or errands his partner may be helped by. He doesn’t have a technical ‘job’ other than that, and can often be found napping in trees or generally bopping around on high surfaces / the tallest things he can so he can pretend to be tall. The cast does have a house out in the woods that he lives in built around his favorite tree so he can be found there pretty easily too.

Abilities: Combat expert, has high stamina, and has heightened healing and the ability to survive most typically mortal wounds.

Plans: I still want her to make friends (and so does she)! She still doesn't really understand friendship in the first place, so having people who can handle explaining things you were supposed to just pick up on when you were 3 would be nice. Otherwise, I'm still working on establishing her relationships and her day-to-day life and/or job because I'm slow and I was on hiatus last month. On that note, I'm gonna get on my backtags very soon, too.

How can you run into my character? As I just said, I was on hiatus last month, so I still need to figure out what she does regularly. In general, you can probably find her out and about. She likes to people-watch and take notes in her diary, so that's a very easy way to notice her and wonder what she's doing.

Background:Tsuna was once your typical loner/loser/average middle schooler until a 2-year-old hitman showed up on his doorstep and said that he was the heir to a mafia family and kicked off the series. Tsuna is still not sure he wanted to ever be a mafia boss much less be involved with the mafia in general, but he did get some friends out of the deal so, it worked out. (And this is a semi-regular reminder that KHR started as a gag manga before it turned into a battle manga).

Tsuna, at first, seems like a bit of a pushover and maybe a little hard done by. But one does have to remember he's usually trying to herd cats and reacting to the bonkers situation that is the mafia. There's a spine there though, and when pushed in the right direction, he can get serious. But he'd really just like a normal life where he can goof off with his friends.

Abilities: Tsuna's main ability is his Dying Will Flames, which are the orange flames that come out when he fights or activates the Hyper Dying Will mode. His flames, specifically, are Sky Flames, which have the power of Harmonization, which allow him to use both Hard and Soft Flames (hard flames are like bursts of power, soft allowing him to do things like fly/hover). He can also petrify or accelerate things.
He also has hyper-intution, that allows him to usually pick up on if people are lying to him or if they are threats. I try not to overplay this.

Plans:
-Tsuna fought some monsters last month and definitely went all out with his powers! There was a lot of fire around him, so feel free to have seen that. He's kinda wiped out from it though, so he'll be a little slow to start this month.

-He'll probably head over to Rumpitar and see how things are going there

-As well as helping out around town to rebuild things. Not that it will go the greatest because he is kind of clumsy

-I do want to start bringing some background things into the foreground. Namely the stuff he does around town and daily life things.

He does have a wristwatch-like image inducer that uses holograms to make him look like a human, but he's weaned himself off of using it in the setting, especially as he doesn't face the strife here that he's used to back home. Generally he's a friendly guy with a goofy sense of humor who can try too hard to fit in and overdo any slang he knows. He also has more baggage related to his family issues and complicated feelings about his biological mother.

Abilities: His most prominent one is teleportation. Two miles is his hard limit, but he also needs to know or see where he's going for safe teleportation. He can also cling to walls/ceilings and has a prehensile tail, along with generally boasting acrobatic abilities and general combat skills.

Plans: Kurt's recently stopped keeping his blue self a secret! So he won't be using the image inducer much anymore. I don't have much in mind for this month, but definitely open to playing around with egg stuff for him! And always looking for more CR for Kurt. Come at him!

How can you run into my character? He works as the fastest pizza boy in town (though business is likely down with the recent in-game events) and also runs deliveries for Altius. Some of his regular haunts include the Club Building, the arcade and the X-Mansion.

Background: Ethlyn is a medieval noblewoman who had to take on the responsibilities of a whole duchess when she was 12, which has shaped her into a person with a strong and honestly overdeveloped sense of responsibility, as well as no concept of time off or not being busy. She is the mom friend, whether you want her to be or not. She's trained in healing and swordfighting, has two young children left at home (she got a chance to see that they survived, but in exchange are old before their time) and also, she died before getting here. She quietly fears that her children despise her.

She's also been in Expi from the start which means that she has been through a LOT, which on the one hand means it's not easy to throw her and she gets a bit of a +1 for composure in a crisis but on the other hand, BOY SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH A LOT. She has learned to be a little better about seeking help when she needs it at least!

Abilities: Healing (magic & standard medicine), swordfighting, horsj.

Plans: Ethlyn's going to be doing some community leadership stuff--as much as she can when she's recovering from being seriously wounded by the Black Beast of Aaaargh! She and Claude did a lot of work the year before to set up supplies of preserved foods that she'll be helping to dole out to people who need it, as long as they're good with pickled everything.

She'll also be helping out with cleanup efforts--figuring out who has tools, bartering with NPCs for use of their time / gear (she's pretty used to cranky NPCs so she's patient with them), organizing repair parties and also some time at the end of the day for people to relax and spend some time together so they don't lose morale get worn down by all the work they're doing on light rations. While she won't be stealing herself, she's not going to judge anyone else who does, particularly with the Rumpiturans being price-gougers.


How can you run into my character? She's going to be sticking close to the Willow Clinic this month (big snake fang wounds....) but she'll be making herself as busy as she can within that radius.

Background/Personality: The world's most wanted criminal with the highest bounty in history on his head ─ a feat he's achieved by going around the world attacking and destroying various government facilities and killing hundreds of soldiers, earning himself the nickname "Grim Reaper". Generally speaking, he's kind of an asshole: he's rude, grouchy and cynical with hair-trigger temper that often leads to a rather liberal use of violence. Thing is, despite his deadly reputation and outward grumpiness, deep inside he's actually a genuinely kind and caring guy who'd do anything to protect his loved ones and always puts their happiness and well-being before his own (sometimes to a fault). He just has tons of emotional baggage that makes it really hard for him to actually open up.

tl;dr: he's a big dumb edgy tsundere with trust issues, do with that what you will.

Abilities: You can find the full summary here, but here's a short and sweet version:
- skilled in hand-to-hand combat, as well as sword fighting
- has access to a wide range of spells called Ars Magus, which technically aren't magic, but would probably appear as such to someone unfamiliar with the concept
- has ridiculous regenerating abilities that allow him to survive and more or less shake off most injuries that would otherwise be fatal (they still hurt tho)
- his personal special ability (aka Drive), Soul Eater, does exactly what it says on the tin: it allows him to absorb souls/life force of living things around him. He's got it mostly under control, but touching him or even staying around him for extended periods of time puts one at risk of him involuntarily sucking the other person's life out of them. Also, using it drastically decreases his own lifespan. Oops.
- should he ever lose control over his abilities, he's in danger of turning into a giant, world-destroying monster, but don't worry. It's fine. He's fine.

Plans: So. Last month happened, huh. Ragna is now back from his heroic (?) sacrifice and he doesn't wanna talk about it. Let bygones be bygones, you know? He's not thrilled about going to Rumpitur, but given the whole mess was kinda his fault he still feels bad and figures it's his responsibility to try and help the recovery efforts. He might help people out with only limited grumbling and cursing! This offer is limited time only.

CR-wise, I welcome all of it, be it positive or negative! (I know, I know, very creative.) I'd especially like to find some people patient enough to stick around with Ragna despite his... everything. As much as he wants to keep people at an arm's length, persistence in dealing with him is the key to getting yourself a surprisingly loyal and protective ally. Eventually.

Background: A nonbinary (he/they) mutant and member of the X-Men, Morph is a superhero who's done things like have an evil stint after coming back from the dead, fought giant robots AND terrifying cyborgs, scrapped with villains who are often also mutants, etc. (Also there was some real soap opera level drama going on with half the team, which if you know anything about the X-Men is pretty standard tbh). Morph is the sarcastic jokester of the group and the resident cameo machine, but they have a good dose of trauma in their background due to heroics gone wrong and was absent from the team for a few years due to that whole mess.

Abilities: Shapeshifting into people and animals with the added benefit of copying physical abilities. Also, they're made of goo. I have a permissions post for long-term impersonations here.

Plans: At the end of the event last month, the upper floors of the X-Mansion got wrecked. The basements are still intact, but there's a lot of work to be done, so Morph is moping after arguing with Douman concentrating on clean-up and doing quick and dirty repairs to keep the weather out. Also, they will probably be starting their own garden because the mansion is on a pretty big plot of land. However Morph is both willing and available to help with any clean-up going on in the city - they can literally give themselves extra muscle, so that makes them pretty good at doing all that heavy lifting.

Morph will be in Rumpitur for the festivities, and might even take a form mimicking how the snakey residents look if the Rumpitur-ians act overly cold towards the Aldrip Chosen. Morph is just going to be tired and unwilling to deal with that kind of attitude tbh.

How can you run into my character? Morph lives at the X-Mansion and can provide help with the Danger Room if anyone needs it - despite the wreckage it's still accessible and operational. They also work at a bouncer at The Last Drop so you can expect to find them there a lot of evenings/nights.

Background:

Born a spirit fox, Kurama became a powerful demon over hundreds of years in pursuit of ruling a portion of demon world. He kind of threw that dream out the window and vanished a thousand years ago, before nearly dying while in hiding. To escape his pursuer and survive, Kurama "reincarnated" himself into an unborn human baby. After his dad died he got too attached to his human mother to bail on her as intended before she became terminally ill. So, he decided to try to trade his own life for her's and he's been kind of doing that with everyone he cares about ever since. Unlike his teammates, Kurama chose humanity over power, embracing his human form (and mundane life) despite the hit this took to his demonic strength.

I don't have any real plans for the TDM, so may just play that by ear but Kurama is going to be helping with the rebuilding efforts via Zek's garden plans, and of course through the farm, clinic and apothecary as much as possible.

So far, my only other plans are getting him involved with the memorial situation Claude will be doing? I'm interested in connecting him with characters trying to build a solid foundation for Chosen to survive without locals for help. Crop growing, food stores, expanding the clinic operations into the farm land and so on. I would absolutely love to throw him at anyone else who has plans in that direction or will also be getting involved with others who do.

Since he'll be coming back around to himself I'm also planning to post the woods mingle as promised, finally! There was talk about a farm mingle too, but I think that's happening after apps so new people can get involved with it.

So because of the less horrible childhood, including no terrible orphanage run by Mr. Sinister, this Scott is a little more well-adjusted. More lighthearted and easygoing and cocky, although it wouldn't be Scott Summers without a dose of anxiety. It's fine. He's not worried at all about being the leader of the X-Men or his world becoming awful like all the other mutant worlds--

Plans: Ellie bit a couple people, so she's going to be getting some sentencing soon! In the meantime, I had a few things I was looking at:

- Biting people and risking revealing her infection has absolutely freaked Ellie out, and she's aiming to disguise her bitemark ASAP. She's been telling people it's a chemical burn, so she's going to try to find some way to recreate a chemical burn or some other damage for it. She might just resort to fire. I'm open to help for it but also, if anyone wanted to find out what was happening and try to stop her because, really, she's 14. Someone should probably tell her no.

- She's going to be doing patrols and she's been stockpiling some food of of her own thanks to paranoia, so she'll be looking for people who need some help with that. She's also happy to help hunt.

- General CR expanding! I'd like at some point for her immunity to become more known too. These two tie together, as the world Ellie comes from is...not great and trust has to be earned. She still holds herself as separate from the other Chosen, fully believing if anyone finds out she was bit, she'll be killed on the spot or worse. I'd like to start working on her building that trust with people.

- She's gonna steal the Rumpitur vendors food cause they're dicks and give it to people. Anyone wanna Robin Hood with her?

- Thinking about having her lose her room in the wreckage and needing a place to stay.

How can you run into my character? She works at the Shimmer and Shine, so she can always be found around there! She also hunts out in the forest area fairly frequently, and will be doing so much while food is short.

Background: Physical embodiment of "Nihilism: Nothing matters (existential dread) vs Nothing matters (fuck it we ball)." High school student who drifts through life and gets roped into others' shenanigans no matter how stupid they might be. His idgaf attitude and flagrant disregard for his own well-being can be alarming at times but!! He's genuinely quite nice so surely that counts for something... At this point he feels a little better about the whole Surprise You're Alive Again deal and just takes things day by day. You might see him wandering around with a dog named Koromaru too! 10/10 goodest boy, please come pet!! Yes the dog has a Persona too dw don't ask

Abilities: Personas!! He has 12 of them and they range from huge + somewhat concerning-looking to a tiny pixie. I think he has the Worst set of Personas out of all the Wildcards at Expi LMFAO it's ok. It's his brand now.

Plans: I'll likely have Minato showing up in Rumpitur later this month to participate in the egg hunt! Those supplies are valuable ok... Otherwise I've got a March aftermath catch-all over here! He's also taken over the dojo that used to belong to Manjiro (Mikey) if your character remembers him being around. He's opened it up to those who might have lost their homes after the residential district was destroyed. You can find his net post offering it as a place to stay over here!

How can you run into my character? Literally anywhere tbh... He's out and about especially this month, trying to help out with the restoration efforts.

Crime: Racketeering

Background: Silco is a vicious and manipulative crime lord who deals in drugs and information who has taken his own city in a strangle-hold of power and with the use of a drug called Shimmer. His rule created a boom in industrial innovations, artistic expression and questionable experimentation. His goal was always the liberation and independence of his city from the elite rich sister city, and he was right there before being a girldad lead to his downfall.

He has been in the game for a year and a half and owns many businesses. He has been playing it "nice" with a simple and slow take over of the economy, and he's filthy rich and will give anyone a job. He also funds research that he considers beneficial to himself to take power within the city. He is nasty, often insulting but he also isn't in the business of burning too many bridges just yet.

Abilities: Silco is a normal human with normal human abilities (usually). He is smart, manipulative and has little, if any, moral compass aside from reaching his end goal by any means necessary.

Plans: Silco has been infected with a wish seed from Fauna in the March event, and he made no effort whatsoever to face that wish. In fact, he had embraced it and is leaning into the effects wholeheartedly. His wish: control (d'uh)

Silco is going to encourage crime for others. With the food shortages happening and the arrival of Rumpitur merchants, he will be encouraging theft, break and enter, perhaps seek to bring about a riot and pillaging of the city. To off-set this, he will be offering resources from his own businesses to sustain people (don't worry, he's been hording food and drink for months.

- Rumpitur merchants: he will be buying their resources at whatever price set. he's planning on cleaning them out as quickly as he can to increase the sense of desperation.

- Crime baby: it's time to do crime, lovelies! They can't sentence us all! (I will be doing a network post for this)

- Murder & assault: Yeah, Silco is a non-combatant usually. Not day, friends. He will be physically aggressive and emotionally manipulative. He will not be afraid to engage in combat, though he's the sneaky-sneaky back-stabbing type of person. Oh, the wish seed has granted him powers so... have fun discovering that.

How can you run into my character? Silco's businesses are all open, and they will be providing refuge and used to stir up rebellion and crime. He also will be out and about in the streets a lot and found with the Rumpitur vendors.

I am open to both negative and positive CR opportunities. Crime daddy wants to do crime!

HI. We need a thread. Obviously Miller will not immediately realize Silco is under the effects of a wish seed and this can only go well. He'll be all in for helping out with spreading out donated resources! Any other... suggestions... will likely prompt a confrontation of some kind. Which we love to see. But who knows, Silco might be persuasive enough.
