PLOT WITH ME: JUNE 2025
ENABLE ME PLEASE
Welcome to Expiation's CR meme! This is a post where players can plot with each other on the direction they'd like to go for the month, and so on and so forth. There's a form below for you to fill out below, so get plotting!
We're now including an EMP element since it's an app month! We have an APP THIS PLEASE and ENABLE ME PLEASE in the comments below with a form, so if you're interested in participating, use the form and comment under the subject title applicable. Other than that, the regular comments will go as a normal CR meme would! Also, the TDM will be posted in the log comm with old and new characters alike able to top-level on it.

TEST DRIVE/MINGLE: HAPPY PROGRESS DAY
HAPPY PROGRESS DAY?
Well, as stated in the SOTG, there are some visitors from another town, Briorsea! The first week of the month they’re setting up some things at the event center, which look like a festival of sorts. If Chosen snoop, the visitors seem to be open about what they’re doing. They’re going to bring some culture to Aldrip, they say! They’re going to bring their advances to Aldrip, and you’re going to be part of it. They want to test what sort of talent you all have! Are you guys inventors? Do you know how to make anything at all? Anything and everything seems to interest them – so long as you can even hold a nail and a hammer, they’ll be encouraging you to build something. Stretch your mind! They seem to have brought a lot of materials and are okay with characters using them. You can ask in the comment below if you would like to know if they have something specific!
CUE MANIACAL LAUGHTER
Among the booths to make things, there’s obviously got to be a space to perform experiments! What has your character come up with? Please, experiment on another Chosen! They’ll even go so far as to drag volunteers in to match up with characters who want to do the experiments. It’s totally safe, promise. 100% will not end up a rat or get a new limb.

A MEMORIAL
For those that aren’t interested in such a thing, Kotone and Scott are planning a memorial for those that have left Aldrip. More information will be coming in the form of a network post, but it will be included in the TDM as another form of mingling.

A long shot is members of A2's old squad — No. 4, No. 16, No. 22, Lily, Rose, Anemone...? But I doubt anyone plays them this is just me casting my dreams into the ether.
About: idk where to put here... A2 has been here since the end of last December! She has developed a friend circle(?) and a hobby... but she is the only android here! In a sci-fi fantasy game! The Nexus is no stranger to her. No matter what world she happens to drop into, she will invest to the Power of Love! Flonne was once a trainee angel from Celestia then became fallen once she harmed an angel. (GASPS!) Now, she’s a vassal to a younger child than her, Laharl, the Overlord!

Background: An enthusiastically cheerful young woman who led a team of high schoolers (and a dog, and a robot, and an elementary schooler--) through several dangerous situations, saved the world, and would much rather try to get your character to open up than talk about herself. Genuinely the embodiment of "you ever think about dying??" the game.
Abilities: (cw: suicidal imagery, discussion of death) Kotone can summon a variety of mythological or religious figures using a gun-shaped summoning tool called an Evoker -- she does this by pointing the Evoker at her head and firing. Her specific Personas and their powers are detailed here!
Also as a result of her sentencing, she also now has telepathy so uhhhhh

Honestly Kotone spends a lot of time with Scott Summers smh, they're disgusting. People have probably seen them walking around town holding hands or just generally being teenagers in love, gross. She does still help out in the mornings on the farm and work at Bar Lupin some evenings!

Crime: Literally getting involved in Organized Crime
Background: Tsuna was once your typical loner/loser/average middle schooler until a 2-year-old hitman showed up on his doorstep and said that he was the heir to a mafia family and kicked off the series. Tsuna is still not sure he wanted to ever be a mafia boss much less be involved with the mafia in general, but he did get some friends out of the deal so, it worked out. (And this is a semi-regular reminder that KHR started as a gag manga before it turned into a battle manga).
Tsuna, at first, seems like a bit of a pushover and maybe a little hard done by. But one does have to remember he's usually trying to herd cats and reacting to the bonkers situation that is the mafia. There's a spine there though, and when pushed in the right direction, he can get serious. But he'd really just like a normal life where he can goof off with his friends.
Abilities: Tsuna's main ability is his Dying Will Flames, which are the orange flames that come out when he fights or activates the Hyper Dying Will mode. His flames, specifically, are Sky Flames, which have the power of Harmonization, which allow him to use both Hard and Soft Flames (hard flames are like bursts of power, soft allowing him to do things like fly/hover). He can also petrify or accelerate things.
He also has hyper-intution, that allows him to usually pick up on if people are lying to him or if they are threats. I try not to overplay this.
Plans: So, I kind of beefed it hard last month, but it's a new month with a renewed energy so let's press on.
-Tsuna is not very mechanically inclined, but he makes for a perfect guinea pig. Want to rope him into helping you? Trick him into being a test subject? Be the Igor to your Frankenstein? He is available for all these things and there's no way it will go wrong or have lasting repercussions, right? Right?
-He'll definitely be at the Memorial, since he's seen a lot of friends leave. But hopefully that's the opportunity for some new ones.
-Quests! Let's do some quests! All of them look really fun, but I'm definitely down for anything that can get Tsuna into trouble. Which I think is all of them. Who wants to get not-married? I might cover some of the quests in an open log.
How can you run into my character? Tsuna can usually be found around town. He helps out at the apothecary and can be seen doing a mail route or two as well. When he's not working, he's usually at the arcade, his house, or the TWAT club room.

Crime: Despair
Background: A mad elven scientist who gave up his mortal flesh to become an immortal sorcerer. Since he still needs a physical form, he's vibing in the corpse of a dead samurai these days.
Nihilistic, sadistic, and extremely flamboyant. He tends to present himself as a clown, but beneath the playfulness, he is in great despair. His main agenda is to die and take everyone else with him. He hates you, he hates the world, and he really hates himself.
Abilities: He is a ghost sorcerer who can cast spells, fly, teleport, possess people/corpses and see the memories of others.
Also, he has no shadow. Weird, right? Probably nothing to worry about.
It's worth noting he rarely uses his more combat-focused abilities. He doesn't like fighting unless he's very sure he can win.
His greatest "ability" is his intelligence. He's an obnoxious turbo-genius
Plans: EXPERIMENTS YOU SAY? Fandaniel will be all over the event center snooping on people and doing Science. Would you like him to experiment on your character in front of a live audience? He will do it and enjoy every second. It could be something silly (changing hair color/eyes) or body horror. He is big into body horror.
He's probably also going to unleash a red chocobo on town. So.
NOTE: I don't tag out much on the log comm because I don't want to shove a character like this at people who might not be interested. I am always down for building up CR with anyone! Positive OR negative! Fandaniel wears a thousand masks at all times. It IS possible to get to know him better, but expect that it will take multiple interactions.
How can you run into my character? Fandaniel "lives" at the Aetherochemical Research Facility. He has the entire thing now, but I haven't had the time to update the page. Bear with me, folks, we'll get through this together. When he isn't there, he's out and about. He tends to be a busybody, so he's not hard to find.
NOTE Fandaniel is usually a playful, whimsical eccentric, and as much comedy relief as villain, but this character can get very intense. Themes around him include suicide, despair, existential horror and hopelessness, nihilism, and extreme self-loathing. You can read more about this on his OPT-OUT. Please do not hesitate to opt out of interactions if you want to. I understand some of this character's themes are heavier than people might want to deal with in RP.

Background: Instead of having a dad as a space pirate and being shoved off an exploding airplane with his younger brother Alex, this Scott lives in boring suburbia. In Ohio. And his older brother Alex visits every so often. Probably no space pirate dad. He still has his optic blasts though and currently lives in Xavier's Institute until he was brought to Expiation.
So because of the less horrible childhood, including no terrible orphanage run by Mr. Sinister, this Scott is a little more well-adjusted. More lighthearted and easygoing and cocky, although it wouldn't be Scott Summers without a dose of anxiety. It's fine. He's not worried at all about being the leader of the X-Men or his world becoming awful like all the other mutant worlds--
Abilities: Scott is a plant. His body takes in energy from the sun and turns it into optic blasts.
Plans: Scott's hosting the Remembrance Event with Kotone at the inn! So, he'll definitely be there. He might help building stuff and be really bad at that, otherwise, I don't really see him experimenting on others or volunteering for that.
Scott will also be getting earrings for Kotone for her birthday/also because he wants to give her something special. If you want to see him at a jeweler getting that present for her.
Side quest wise:
-maybe go for the egg because he sees the word mystery and he wants to know what's inside the mystery egg
-maybe the wedding one?? although he won't be the guy getting married

Background: She is a good girl doing her best and ready to befriend everyone! She is a lyricist and vocalist by profession, and is not happy about being separated from her band. She was working very hard to get her band to have its big break, even though it was cutting into her 'finding love' time. She loves sweets, music, animals, explosions, having fun, and making sure no one is lonely. She is like cool young wine aunt to all.
She is also an extinction-level threat sent to invade Earth and exterminate all of humanity per a higher-dimensional being, but don't worry about that.

How can you run into my character? She is basically everywhere, always, and constantly nosing her way into things. She may be busking on the street corner, hanging around stores to window shop or blow all her money on sweets and clothes, unsubtly people watching (especially couples or any pair that could be misconstrued as a couple), following cute animals (cats, dogs, squirrels, Koromaru) around, tripping and falling on her face, accidentally breaking things, and generally being very boisterous and impossible to ignore.
She isn't exactly hiding her powers, so you may see her flying or carrying impossible loads, but she will deliberately rein things in when around humans, especially any unfamiliar with her. She doesn't want to scare humans or risk hurting them.

Background: What if you lived your entire life afraid of forming transient connections with others, moved back to your hometown, moonlighted with others as child soldiers with superpowers, accidentally jumpstarted the apocalypse. But it's ok! You stop that from happening and realize the meaning of life was the friends we made along the way. Also, you might spot Minato with a dog from time to time.
Abilities: Personas!! He has 12 of them and they range from huge + somewhat concerning-looking to a tiny pixie.
Plans: Settling into the Willow Clinic! He doesn't actually know anything about running a clinic so he will be getting used to that. Any help is definitely appreciated...
He'll be at the remembrance event as well when that goes up! A lot of his cr has poofed so it only feels right to be there...
I'd like to try tackling a quest! He's not the sort to take one himself, but he is easily pulled into shenanigans even if it's someone he doesn't know! Explosive Potential reward is the funniest to me, but all the quests seem pretty fun tbh!
How can you run into my character? Literally anywhere tbh... He lives at the dojo now, but he's also out and about pretty frequently. He spends a lot of time at the clinic as well, as he's taken over the Willow Clinic since its original proprietor Ethlyn is gone.

Background: Vi's a lot of trauma in a 5'7" package, but she pretends it doesn't exist. she also likes to adopt misfits and is highly protective of people she cares about. which. she'll probably care after a few conversations and she realizes that you're not a shit person. she acts pretty tough on the outside, but i promise she's just squishy on the inside. highly sarcastic. will probably talk shit to you even if she does like you. she's got a temper if you are a shit person and she's prone to throwing hands, but she's really super patient with everyone else.
Abilities: she's a boxer so her preference is beating the crap out of people with her fists and also she can parkour.
Plans: i'm a super flexible rper so i usually just wing it, but i think i'm probably going to have her expand lupin finally this month, so she might put up some notice for that. also, i've toyed with her building a rage room nearby for people like her who might wanna smash things after getting drunk. also she'll probably get into rebuilding the training grounds this month too.
also sara requested she bring booze to the memorial thingy they're doing so there's that too.
How can you run into my character? currently, she's the owner of Lupin and helps Ange with running the apothecary, so she's in one of those two places a good deal. other than that, you can probably find her at the training grounds or on a jog through Aldrip at any given time, because she likes working out too.

Background: She's a transforming supervillain who turned good and became a hero! She's also had a pretty rough life. She's transgender, angry, and has the social skills of a particularly dense rock. In Aldrip, she's slowly been improving, and she's slowly even becoming a nicer person.
Abilities: Transforming superhero with three forms of different animal-themed armor. She can do limited magic but only when transformed. Mostly she just uses stupid strength.
Plans: She wants to learn magic properly to get stronger! She also just wants to get stronger, and even get to know people. She's lost a lot of her limited social net recently, so new friends would be great. I'd also like to work on getting her more about protecting people so she can unlock further superhero forms.
How can you run into my character? She spends most of her days now patrolling Aldrip, either from rooftops or from her sweet motorcycle. She lives at the X-Mansion, but has trouble sitting still, so she can basically be anywhere.

Canon Point: After his ward takes a blow to protect him
Crime: Child sacrifice
Background: Mid-thirties CEO of an international company whose previous stint as a magical boy went so poorly he pivoted to plans to destroy the world. Very good at pretending he's a pleasant type on the outside. He recently took an orphaned magical boy under his wing to use him against his friends (don't worry about how he was orphaned), which ended up having unpleasant consequences like feelings. Uh oh! More info here!
Abilities:
⬬ automatically blocks any supernatural sensing powers: anything outside of the typical human baseline will react like he's not there. Any technology that tries to record him while he's using magic will fail.
⬬ magically charming aura that tends to make people like him more. This works on local NPCs but for Chosen: you decide!
⬬ crystal monster creation. Half a dozen of these toothy little guys are running around town watching out for people, but it's not obvious Zek is ordering them around. They stand at the average person's waist and have one brain cell each but they are trying very hard.
⬬ erasing of nonliving objects. He can just delete stuff by putting his hands on it.
Other things that aren't usually relevant except in extreme emergencies or secret, because he is just a normal businessman, really!!: healing magic, superhuman strength/reflexes/speed, temporary portals, hypnosis, breaking/warping.
Plans:
⬬ Post-event he was in the clinic for a week recovering from a crime snake bite, didn't even look at his tablet. Went into a coma for a day. He's fine now! What did he miss? :)
⬬ He's learning to ride a horse now so he'll be seen doing that more often instead of walking everywhere. Thanks Richard!

finally getting serious with the resident clockheadHow can you run into my character? Altius can be found wherever in town, pretty much always doing something or going somewhere. His usual haunts:
⬬ his three businesses/projects: medical tech, post office, community gardens
⬬ Lupin/inn's tavern (occasional evenings)
⬬ library/farm (general studying and horse riding)
⬬ his slightly less tiny house (slightly more often than previously)
Always, always looking for new employees and collaborators. He can figure out a place for anybody; part time, full time, contracting, collaborations, whatever. He wants to connect people!! He's also involved with Richard's defense squad in an organizational role, and he'll encourage people to join them if they seem remotely interested in helping their fellow Chosen. Also if he's shown concern for or interest in a character before, he absolutely checks in with them now and again! He does not need a reason to do this, he'll just do it apropos of nothing.

Work is a little slower right now (federal, lol fml) so sometimes I can tag during the day but most likely will be afternoon/evening during the week. Crime: Familial Neglect
Background: Hiei was born a fire demon to a very insular group of ice maidens on a sky island - conceived by ‘impure means’ and was (literally) bound and thrown from the island. He was found by a group of bandits who never told him murdering all the time wasn’t exactly how you made friends and they eventually abandoned him too. Fast forward a couple years and a painful third eye install later and he meets Kurama by accident in the human world and the rest is history. He and Kurama steal from spirit world, get tracked down by Yusuke Urameshi and they all become a little rag-tag family even if Hiei will never ever call them friends or family since, well… /gestures at past families.
Abilities: As a fire demon Hiei has control over human and spiritual flame, though here in Expi he is restricted from his Dragon of the Darkness Flame. Demonic strength and speed are also a given, and he is a master swordsman to boot. He also has a Jagan eye - also known as ‘evil eye’ that has telepathic abilities as well as remote viewing.
Plans: I was planning to sort of take this month for back tagging mostly but knowing me I will be inflicting this gremlin at random to be a dick head for no reason because that is just his vibe. Remedy and I keep joking about Hiei and Kurama demonstrate marriage was a Kurama shit post simply for the laughs so who knows that may happen too.
How can you run into my character? Where Kurama is Hiei is not usually far off. And if he isn't at the farm or accompanying Kurama at the apothecary he can always be found in the woods training or napping in the older, larger trees. Honestly I can make an excuse for him to be in most places so if your character wants to meet Hiei or you just want them to be unfortunate enough to run in to them we can suss it out and go from there.

Anything Else?: I'm currently kind of hyper-fixated on Pandora Hearts, but I can also easily focus on Tales of Symphonia, Golden Sun, Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Pokémon, to name a few. I am otherwise a very boring nerd who likes birdwatching.
TAGGING PREFERENCES/TIMEZONES: Brackets are my default, but I will match prose! I am in US Central Time (so currently CDT). I tend to be around to tag in the evenings or late at night (what is a sleep schedule?). I'm not really a boomeranger, but I try to not be too horribly slow. Background: Echo may come off like a robot, but she was actually never allowed to respond to her feelings for most of her life and she's still working on understanding them. She used to be a bodyguard and do special ops for an assassin family. She's also CRAU from Deer Country.
Abilities: She looks pretty petite and innocuous, but if the job details weren't any indication, she could definitely kill you if she wanted to. I mean, there are guns in her world and she still uses swords all the time. She has incredible stamina and can do some pretty impressive jumping, too.
Plans: She wants to make friends, and I want this as well! She doesn't fully understand how friendship works, though, but that's not gonna stop her. Echo is also very invested in trying to help the former Nagas remember who they were because spoilers. I have no idea what the best way to go about that is, but this is what's on her mind ICly.
How can you run into my character? Echo is on the defense squad and she does deliveries for the post office. Other than that, she likes to people watch and take notes, so you can easily find her in weird places observing just about any human behavior.
