terminal scavenger hunt
Hi, expi! As I'm sure many of you know by now, there has been an IC discussion going on re: forming several groups to go seeking out the terminals. Root (computation) suggested to Miller that he take charge of organizing these groups while she would work on organizing the technical side. They are specifically interested in doing the reset after making a backup of the current system. So, just making this post to let the plotting commence!
Obviously this is a player organized sitch, so please feel free to ignore and it and completely do your own thing if that works better for you!
But for those who are interested, here's the basic rundown right now:
- Groups will be assigned by general scouting location (Aldrip and surrounding area, Ketsora, Lorentia Cave, Desert, Pessiria Forest/Rumpitur area, Ruins).
- STEM club will be providing a telemeter to each team which will provide a signal helping lead them to the terminal.
- Communication will take place via the STEM club's established darknet to keep details as secure as possible; characters who can’t already access it will be provided access. Spock, Kirk, and Pike will be acting as support and coordination for everyone.
- ICly, Miller will be looking for at least one tech-savvy person for each group and at least one battle-ready person (but preferably more); he would favor characters going to certain regions based on their own background in game or in their own canon (e.g. he's from an apocalyptic underground society, so he knows how to navigate underground), but we can pretty much flub anything based on your preference.
- If your character wants to be in a group with another particular character or characters, just let me know you'd like them to be paired together!
- If you have a preference for a location you either want your character to go to or don't want your character to go to, also let me know! If no preference is given, I will RNG your character into a team. The idea was originally for 6 teams, but if we get too many people, we'll just have more teams!
- Want to be involved and your character hasn't talked to either Root or Miller? Totally cool to handwave that interaction with Miller! No need to ask my permission. But feel free to add me on![[plurk.com profile]](https://plurk.com/favicon.ico)

For the sake of not slowing down the event, sign ups will close on 9/20 at 12 pm PST (GMT -8) at which point I will respond to you with your team assignments! But there is, of course, no time limit on what you devide to do with it. Happy searching, Chosen!

- Hello it is me, person with one of the interference targets. I think it might be inevitable for Yuri to cause some conflict as a result of child illusion intervention, as Yuri was never 100% in Team Reset and would rather find a way to save the AI and fix the issues without resorting to that if possible. Showing up as an innocent (?) soul that doesn't want to die is a fast way to get Yuri on your side, so.
- I'm not sure if Yuri and Sora will be affected simultaneously, but if they're not then Yuri could definitely help out with subduing her! He can even heal anyone a bit afterwards that scuffle.
- If anyone wants to be saved by Yuri from quicksand and the like, let me know. Yuri has experience traversing a desert before (even though he doesn't like the heat), so he knows what to watch out for. He has the combat skills to help out in case any other danger shows up.
Of course, this also means he's a bit of a threat if he ever ends up fighting the party about the terminal reset thing, but I'm sure that's not gonna happen! Hahaha!

Personally I'm all for this group having a string of mishaps, it really builds character you know. Which, tentatively, Sora rampage->then Yuri hallucinating: is that a good chronological order?
Alternatively I don't know if it's everyone's cup of tea but everything happening all at once is chaotic af and I'm down.
It slipped my mind before but does anyone specifically want telemeter and/or communication duty?
FINALLY (sorry for rambling) I really like what liv did here. We could do something similar with which ever subject headings are relevant to this group. This way it's also easier for anyone else to pop in if they feel they want to.
