good old fashioned monster hunting
Heyo, Expi! Merry Christmas/happy holidays! I am here today to pitch another player plot situation, this time courtesy of me and Jenni (
traumaticus) AKA Miller & Richard. The gist is that Miller discovered there are mutants from his world afoot during the Dark Hour event (read: Expi fauna entry) and, frankly, that shit sucks!
While these may seem like your rather run of the mill monsters to your average JRPG character, as someone well-acquainted with them, Miller sees it a little differently. Why? Because they're hazardous to humans through radioactive emissions and they multiply. Fast. There is also one form of mutant that is present that is particularly worrying and that's the Demon. These guys are tough. They only live on the irradiated surface of the earth and no one is sure what they used to be. Bats? Some kind of feline? Who can say. What we do know though is that they're incredibly strong, hard to kill, and are basically the apex predator of the nuclear fallout.
So, Miller wants them gone from Aldrip. All of them. Which is why he'll be looking to form a scouting and hunting group of all the best Expi has to offer. Not so enthused? Not to worry — he'll also be offering a small cash prize to anyone who fits the bill and is willing to take on the call. This is also where Richard comes in. Utilizing his defense patrol for this is going to be a given, so if your character's already involved in that or wants to be, then even better.
But the fun is not limited to characters who can fight! I didn't mention yet that these monsters are known to scoop up humans and fly them away to their nests. If they don't kill you immediately, they're probably saving you to eat later. So, having your character be swept up and need rescuing is also very much a thing.
And if you're a lone wolf or want to form your own squad? No one is stopping you. Don't let your dreams be dreams.
tl;dr Want to fight some scary mutants and/or join Aldrip defense squad? Or just be kidnapped by demons? Put your name below!
We'll be putting up a log on 12/28, but as always, backtagging will be highly encouraged! ♥ If you are interested in participating in any way, feel free to fill out this plotting form and chat below. c: Not required for participation though. You can also just tag in and see where the wind takes you. (Also p.s. you can still comment here after the 28th, we are being loosey goosey with this thing.)
