Welcome to Expiation! We're thrilled to have you here, new and old players alike. Please note that this intro entry serves additionally as a CR meme, so you are free to use it to say hello, tell us a bit about yourself, talk about your character, and potential plans for the game.

As a reminder, Expiation runs on bi-monthly events. Since the game has just opened in February, we want to give players and characters some time to settle into the area and get to know other characters as well. Please note that all players / characters accepted in February are exempt from the February AC.

Character: Nikolai Gogol
Canon: Bungo Stray Dogs
Canon Point: Manga chapter 98-- aka shortly after absconding from the prison death game he affectionately set up.

Crime: Humanity

Background: Nikolai is one of five major players in a terrorist organization that specializes in murder. Said organization has plans for the future of their world and Nikolai does a lot to facilitate that... Until he kinda does but also kinda doesn't. You see everything comes down to "proving the existence of free will" and you probably will see him do some mental gymnastics over it.

Abilities: He has a propensity for violence but doesn't do that mindlessly, if you're picking up what I'm putting down.
We only really have to worry about The Overcoat here (that is his ability name. Yes, like the short story). I will be setting up an ability opt in very very soon given his habit of pulling people's body parts through it but until then I'll avoid doing that or 👉😎👉 I will ask for ooc permission first.

Plans: Murder clown with a side of existentialism he may be he'll need to get situated just like anyone else.

As far as building CR goes I'm always happy to have some antagonism going on. Canonically he has only one friend and even then that interpersonal relationship is, how do you say, messy.

Tentatively I can say it might be interesting to play him off of characters who get exasperated but don't stomp off, mastermind-like characters, those who will see through bullshit, people who are fun to poke, other crazies who are also just in a silly goofy mood [citation needed]--but I'm down for pretty much anything.

Once you're in the friend zone with Peter he will play along and trust IMPLICITLY it's a problem. he has been implicated in mischief (and explosions. usually explosions.) but he's extremely well-versed in misdemeanors, just feed him a sob story and he's in the palm of your hand, whoops...... LOOK he believes in the good of everyone as long as they aren't obviously evil so. he's dumb.

Just dropped by to say I'm loving what these two have on the TDM, whatever that insanity is and wherever it is headed to. :3c And I'm down for continuing it if you are!

Also, will do it formally once you have the opt-in set up, but I'm already signing up for more insanity involving the overcoat. Feel free to surprise this smug loser when he least expects it, but be warned that the overcoat will pique his interest for sure. And even greater chaos might ensue from that.

Hello yes I love what they have already and it's only been one tdm thread!!! I was so jazzed when I saw who was tagging in to my super late TDM top level. Theses two interacting really hasn't disappointed and I'm happy to continue it. I embrace this chaos.

I really want to see where CR could go with his new "detective" buddy.
Also noted re: The Overcoat. Nikolai absolutely will use it for the express purpose of messing with Saito.
