Welcome to Expiation's CR meme! This is a post where players can plot with each other on the direction they'd like to go for the month, and so on and so forth. There's a form below for you to fill out below, so get plotting!

We're now inclding an EMP element since it's an app month! We have an APP THIS PLEASE and ENABLE ME PLEASE in the comments below with a form, so if you're interested in participating, use the form and comment under the subject title applicable. Other than that, the regular comments will go as a normal CR meme would! Also, the TDM will be posted in the log comm with old and new characters alike able to top-level on it.

AUGUST SUMMARY

DATABREACH UPDATE.

It's gotten worse. The glitches and issues that began in July are still in effect, and unfortunately, they seem to be ramping up. Glitches in August become more severe and also more persistent, happening with more frequency and longer duration. Some people may find the effects last longer or leave a lingering effect. Some may notice that the environment around them has lost quite a bit of its stability. The setting of Expiation as well as the local NPCs of Expiation can be affected, and those effects are nearly limitless, so long as they don't permanently damage the setting. Some ideas to get you thinking:

-Extreme weather. Temperatures and atmospheric conditions will begin to fluctuate wildly: one city block could be experiencing a severe heat wave, while the next block seems to be having a blizzard. Hurricane-force winds, torrential downpours, and hail may suddenly start up and then vanish, leaving only damage in their wake.

-Natural disasters may begin to affect small pockets of Aldrip and the surrounding areas. Earthquakes, severe storms, tidal waves, floods, and any other conditions you can think of are fair game, whether they exist in the real world or in fiction.

-NPCs may glitch in extreme ways. This could include a catastrophic failure (a "blue screen," if you will), or something much more personal, such as taking on characteristics or memories from loved (or loathed) ones back home.

-Entire buildings and blocks may change without warning. The residential district may become a desolate wasteland, or maybe the park across the street is suddenly a gigantic skyscraper. Maybe your home is now in outer space. How's the gravity in there?

-Thus far, the Chosen and locals have enjoyed the ability to communicate without issue. However, whatever allows them all to understand each other seems to be breaking down as well. Characters may find themselves unable to understand or communicate with each other, even speaking in languages they don't canonically know.

Remember: these are just ideas. The glitches experienced at this point can be anything you can think of, and we encourage you to get creative with these effects for your characters and for the setting!

IN SPITE OF GLITCHES...

Life continues on. As we've gone to around 60 players, we will be opening apps to both new and current players. New arrivals appear in the same timeframe as usual, but it may not be smooth sailing as they try to navigate a city rapidly descending into chaos.

Bon Odori begins on August 13, and with it comes a celebration of lights and remembrance. New and current Chosen are encouraged to both attend, and dress up for the occasion, whether they're used to wearing a yukata or not. There will be food, drink, activities...and certainly nothing could possibly go wrong.

Rogue was beautiful and smart with a great sense of humor, a heart of gold, an independent nature, and a lot of spirit. She usually had an attitude of good-natured irreverence. Rogue occasionally referred to everyone including even her enemies as “hon” and “sugar” and spoke in a sassy Southern accent. She was a bit of a flirt and flirted with any man she found to be attractive.

Abilities:

⨂ POWER DRAIN — Rogue's mutant ability often requires skin-to-skin contact to absorb memories, powers, personality traits, physical talents, and strength. For most of her heroic career, Rogue is unable to control her power, and anyone she touches will almost immediately fall unconscious.

⨂ FLIGHT — Besides Storm and Jean Grey, she is another mutant in the X-Men who has the ability of flight. It is said she is one of the most top ten fastest X-Men in the series as a whole, by having supersonic speed and top limit of around 700 miles per hour.

⨂ INHUMAN STRENGTH — Rogue often referred to be the "tank" of the X-Men team. In the series, she initiates an attack on a facility in pursuit of information from general thrunderbolt Ross. Ross reveals that the facility was constructed to enclose the Hulk, yet Rogue effortlessly breaches its defenses.

Plans:

i don't know when i will do this, probably this upcoming saturday, but i will make a network post of rogue finally introducing herself and also offering free food to anyone who wants some good old fashion southern home cooked meal because she accidentally cooked waaaay too much, since you know... she is used to cooking for a squad of mutants back home.

and also in the network post, everyone will get a front row seat of her putting a monster in a headlock and body slamming it since it'll show up out of nowhere due to the glitching. WWE STYLE!!!

How can you run into my character?

the network post will be taken somewhere in an open area. maybe by the fields or something! she's also going to be flying around, cause that's her jam. and trying to move out of the Inn and get an actual apartment to crash in, and also a job. anyone need a superhero???
