Crime: Riot at Xavier's (he beat up an old man and set a bunch of shit on fire)

Background: Pretentious insecure 13 year old nerd finds out he was adopted over the phone on his birthday. Ouch. He has a nervous breakdown, dyes his hair, gets addicted to superpower meth for like a week, and makes snarky novelty t-shirt slogans his entire personality. Also a lil bit homicidal. Dragged kicking and screaming through a sorta-redemption arc for ~6 years. Grows up to be a pretentious insecure 19 year old nerd who still talks like somebody who watches Rick & Morty and says you're not smart enough to understand it, but now he's less homicidal.

Abilities: Telepathy, telekinesis, genius, making pretty much everyone immediately regret talking to him

Plans: Bring me all of your terrible gremlins. It's karma. Also maybe punch him in the face? He needs friends but he's Bad at that.

hello! i should mention that i got dragged into this game by

laserguy i can't take credit for finding it lol. but it does look like a good fit for my slow ass.

jinx is a delight and a treasure, and as a semi-reformed chaos gremlin quentin has So Many Concerns. i will def hop into that mingle log when i get a chance. quentin has some experience with casinos even if he was like 13 at the time (spoilers: wolverine is a bad role model.) so should be fun!

what are you talking about? wolverine is the best role model in the whole world! my brother use to collect a lot of x-men comics when we were kids and i was super into them too.

but back then though, i didn't know how to read yet (shows how long ago lol) but i remember always going through his stack of x-men comics and just look at all the art and the colors. so just seeing quentin overall is like bringing me nostalgia of me just sitting in my brother's room and flipping through the pages of old comics.

to be fair wolverine isn't the worst role model in the world, technically. he's literally the primary reason quentin is not like. an actual terrorist so. at least there's that?

i'm super super new to actually buckling down and reading comics (like within the past month or two) but it's been really interesting to hear other people's nostalgia for them! i have a coworker who read them back in the 80s and at some point stopped, and he's just been utterly baffled by the absolute nonsense happening in current x-men. it's fun!
